Smile! Don’t make that face!
Are words I have heard my whole life when taking photos. I don’t make faces to be funny, I make faces because i’m uncomfortable with myself, specifically my face. Ever since I was young I’ve never been happy or confident about my face which would then stem into other parts of my life that I have been completely uncomfortable with. In order to cope with this I resort to purposely making weird faces so I don’t have to confronted with the fact that my stand alone, “smile for photos” face makes me look, well, so ugly. With this perception building up through the years and especially mixed in with my max paranoia and skepticism, whenever I describe this to people they reassure me that no that’s not true I am pretty. I will never believe these people. Should I live my life constantly lying to myself that I am “beautiful” and deny myself of truth and bury away my feelings on the subject or should I continue the path I am on now?
Also netflix cannot play my title I’ve selected right now : (
